In 2012, I had the pleasure of traveling to Thailand and Laos in mid-December. In Laos, we visited my father's sister's home and village. It had a magically feeling that made us want to stay. With my camera in hand, I explored Phonsavan, Xieng Khouang Province where my aunt lived. Here is a photograph of my grandmother's younger sister and her grandchild wrapped in a Hmong textiles baby carrier. This photograph brings back memories of feeling no worries, relaxing and visiting neighbors to neighbors. My aunt's village was one of the sweet memories I had. I hope this photo gives you that feeling and shows you the love of a grandmother to her grandchild.
